Rock Dove Farm is a small, family-run farm in Lakewood, Colorado specializing in seasonal vegetables and cut flowers. We grow food and flowers using thoughtful, low-input practices that prioritize soil health, biodiversity, and flavor. Our farm is a place where abundance is shared - through CSA shares, U-pick events, and opportunities to connect more deeply with where your food comes from.
Nathan Lee
Nathan Lee is the co-owner/founder/farmer at Rock Dove. He grew up in Western Michigan in a family one generation removed from farming. His dad spent his high school years on a pig farm in Alpena, MI and his maternal grandfather grew up on a farm in northern Indiana. Nathan is proud and excited to restart the family tradition in Lakewood. Nathan came to Colorado for college in 2009 and never left. He studied food systems and technology in graduate school and dreams of a world where food is nourishing, resource efficient, and accessible to all. He has a particular fondness for digging up potatoes and testing the 4 kinds of berries on the east side of the farm.
Leana Schwartz
Leana is the co-owner/founder/farmer at Rock Dove. She has been hopping on and off farms since college, including a WWOOFing adventure through France where she learned the true magic of good soil, fresh bread, and weeding with friends. After serving in the Peace Corps in Cameroon, and earning a master’s in agriculture from Colorado State University, she spent years working on forestry and food systems across Central Africa. Leana’s knowledge of farming in Colorado grew through community gardening with Denver Urban Gardens, and over time she felt pulled to leave her work in international development and embark on something more local to her community. Most days you can find Leana putzing through the farm with a big sunhat, basket of produce, and a baby nearby.
